Plastic Bags Can Be Recycled

Plastic bags can be recycled?

Plastic bags can be recycled, but the recovery value is low.

Plastic bags are essential items in people's daily lives and are often used to hold other items. Because of its low cost, light weight, large capacity, and convenience for storage, it is widely used, but it is forbidden to use and produce in some countries because of the long degradation cycle and difficult handling of plastic bags.

Since June 1, 2008, China has imposed a plastic limit order: "In all supermarkets, shopping malls, bazaars and other commodity retail establishments, a system of paid use of plastic shopping bags should be implemented. All plastic shopping bags must not be provided free of charge nationwide. It is forbidden to produce, sell, and use plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025 mm."

Plastic bags have a low recycling value. In addition to the “visual pollution” caused by scattered in city streets, tourist areas, water bodies, and both sides of roads and railways during use, there are potential hazards. The plastic structure is stable and is not easily degraded by natural microorganisms. It does not separate in the natural environment for a long time. This means that waste plastic waste, if it is not recycled, will become pollutants in the environment for a long time and accumulate, which will cause great harm to the environment.
